  ROWENA LI                          multimedia journalist

June 27, 2013 - I have left the local TV news industry. Here's why.

June 8, 2012 - The short documentary is done! I'm presenting my research on the Manchu language today at 3 p.m. in Room 3-119 of the McCormick Tribune Center at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

March 29, 2012 - Getting up bright and early tomorrow morning to fly overseas for a special project that's near and dear to me. More details to come!
March 14, 2012 - It's been 10 weeks of intense, sometimes crazy, research and reporting with 9 of the most brilliant minds in Medill, and today's the day! Check out the stories from our continued investigation on the Ariel Gomez.
Nov. 9, 2011 - Thrilled to announce that I will be working on the Medill Innocence Project this winter. Check out the latest work by the group and follow the project on Twitter.
Check out this promo for the special cover story I pitched, produced and co-wrote. Tune in to catch the story on Monday, August 8, 2011, at 9 p.m. on WGN (or WGN America or online)! Many thanks to my mentor Nancy Loo and Assistant News Director Jen Lyons for their support and for letting an intern take on a cover story, as well as to Jordan Guzzardo for his wonderful camera and editing skills! [Unfortunately due to the WGN website revamp, the full story is no longer available online.]
